Here in Sarasota and the surrounding area, you can pick fresh fruits, choose many different vegetables or purchase Amish-made products. The mission of Honeyside Farms is to provide fresh, local produce to the community. Honeyside Farms grows fruits and vegetables, however they are most famous for their strawberries which are available from December to April. This farm sells their produce to the Sarasota Downtown Farmers Market (Nov. – May) on Saturdays and at the Phillippi Farmhouse Market (Nov. – May) on Wednesdays.

Fruitville Grove serves a variety of non-certified organic fresh produce and Amish-made goods: cheeses, jams and more. Their fruit and vegetables are handpicked daily. The market is open seven days a week, Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm.

Nokomis Groves is closed from the end of March to November. However, during season, their retail store is open 6 days a week with fresh citrus from their locally owned groves, orange and grapefruit juice, produce and jellies, local honey, candy, sauces and souvenirs from the gift shop, milk, eggs, cheeses and key lime pies. The ice cream store is open year-round. Nokomis Groves is known for their citrus ice cream flavors – lime and chocolate, pineapple and orange and most famously – orange and vanilla swirl. Store hours are Monday through Saturday 8 am to 5:30 pm.
